Nikitin San Bartolome 1584 A.D. (Kit #35)

@Pavel Nikitin
I think my kit boxes are missing flat #35 with these parts as shown on page 94 of the instructions.

Also this flat is miss labeled on plan #95. The plan shows the roof planks for the Pilot house on flat #36 versus the actual pieces located on flat #40.

The parts you need are on plate 34. Plate 34 is in Box 2, Pack 18. And of course you have it in the kit, just look carefully at the contents of the kit.

My apologies, I found the flat with the parts earlier today and didn't have time to get back to my post to do a proper edit to let you know that my problem was solved.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Just to let you know, I'm having a grand time building your kit.

Okie-Dokie.

We are back in the shipyard working on the “Doghouse/Pilot House”

Step #1 - The Frame.

Step #2 - Placing and gluing the roof planks.

Step #3 - The painting:eek: (Yup I just don’t like to paint)

The workbench lighting isn’t the best. Three coats of “Oak”, sanded with 400 grit between coats and then two coats of rattle can Poly Satin Finish.

Got the Thumbsup from the Admiral so we are good to go for the next build step.

Good morning Jan. If the Admiral approves its spot on. You get my Thumbsup as well. Cheers Grant

The kit components that arrived beautifully packed from the Ukraine. (Thank you Pavel and company)

The start of the slipway jig.

One piece done, lots more to go. The parts need a wee bit of sanding, shaping and several trial fits before final ”permanent” glue fix.

For those not familiar with this kit

The slipway that is under construction.

I will post as I complete various stages of the build but it will be here and there since I have three other builds in progress.

I started this log hoping that others who have or will have received their kits will also start build logs. Maybe the “Admins” will consider sponsoring a GROUP BUILD.

Enjoy

Hallo Jan alias @Pathfinder65
we wish you all the BEST and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Birthday-Cake
Enjoy your special day

Wow, thank you all for the Happy Birthday wishes. The Admiral and I have been to my favorite Bakery and then to our beach spot. My Jelly donut “was run down your face good”. We are having a family gathering on Sunday and plan on grilling burgers, hot dogs and corn. BeerandBirthday-Cake are also on the menu.

Wow, I guess I missed the party. Happy birthday Jan and here’s hoping you didn’t have to shovel your way to the bakery.
No Sir, no storms to contend with today. Snow from the last storm is almost gone. There is a storm forecast for this weekend, half a foot of snow in the mountains, little less for the upper portion of the state and 1 - 2 inches of rain for us along the coast. So I can sip my Coffee-Cup, work on myShip-1 and not worry about moving any white stuff.
