POF La Palme (L'Amarante) Corvette 1744 1:36 (Ancre Monograph) by Tobias

Hi Tobias.
Wow Wow what can I say.

I spent some time today going through your build log and I am amazed at your workmanship and skills.
You are doing a fantastic job on this ship.
I will be following this build from now on.
Well done sir.

Hello everyone, I had the same problem as Roland, all of a sudden the last but one frame and the last frame didn't fit anymore! Well, what can I say, I was able to locate my mistake. The last frames (from frame 47) are not 100% at the right angle. I thought about it for a long time and came to this solution, not very nice but practical. Yes, I am dissatisfied, you could say that.

Very good, that you you identified the error and on the fourth photo we can see, that you rectified it.
well done
Ship modeling is permanent development of knowledge and experience - such error you will never do any more in future

BTW: Your hull is looking very good, also from "outside"

Thank you very much Uwe, yes that went silly. I always checked everything, always keeping an eye on the angle, only from frame 47 no longer. Why, I can't say, carelessness, monotony. Mistakes happen and we grow with the task and learn from it. I got myself a little book where I now write down everything, no matter what if there are mistakes or certain steps that you may have to change, etc. It is the experience we are making, I had a good exchange with @Olivers Historic Shipyard yesterday, who gave me always on hand with help and advice. GD also sees it as a small anomaly that has been well resolved.

You have now a well deserved re-do coin, Tobias. With the same space between all the frames.
And (temporary) free, her lines looks great. :)
Regards, Peter

Peter, thank you. Free is not now I will be busy sanding for days. Then the fun starts, new tasks and no more frames.

Hello everyone, not much news from La Palme, scratching, scratching............ scratching. I'm getting closer to finishing the interior of the fuselage. I made some sanding blocks at the beginning and worked with them, however in my eyes this is not effective. The best method is to work with the drawing plates - the result is great and, above all, precise.
