POF La Palme (L'Amarante) Corvette 1744 1:36 (Ancre Monograph) by Tobias

I have the altimeter or height marker from the Paulimot company, here is the link to it. There is also a digital version, I personally prefer analogue.

Good evening,
thank you all for your feedback all comments and likes. I've been thinking a little about the upcoming planking and their coloring. Since I'm not into color, I want to do it with wood, i.e. the yellow in the upper area I want to use boxwood. Here is an example of how I imagine it.

Dear Tobias
the diversity in the combination presented by you will look wonderful, the right and most beautiful choices also thanks to the quality of the trees you chose

The upper planking in boxwood is looking very good - I like it very much.
The plank between the two wales in pear - to be honest, I do not like it so much.
For me it should be also black, also because you will nail it in the same way like the wales
I like it more like made by Gianpiero Ricci

or Niels Evoldsen have made it

But this subjective taste - you are the master of your model

Hello Uwe yes I can understand it and as I said I struggled for a long time with how to do it. On the cover of the Amarante it is also clear that it is not black, ok but the bottle is missing and the tail is red.;)
we'll see what the future brings, maybe make it black if i don't like it.:D

I think you have two options for the plank between the wales: boxwood or black. Why should thy have used another color or wood?
Good point - definitely this plank was thick stuff material in the same strength like the wales - but it was "planking"
BTW: Following the construction photos of this "niels" model we can see. that he made first the two wales to stabilze the hull, and the plank between much much later

I am not sure if the two wales are correct for the period. I do not know, when the wide wale timbers were introduced.

The middle plank is narrower by half, so not as thick as the whales, should you address this thick.

Many thanks for the additional information and clarification - than it will be pear!
The green arrow is a ventilation of the frames, or? , so tha last "row" of inner planking is not going up to the deck.....
It is great, that Gerard is answering and clarify details ....

Hello Uwe,
GD is super friendly and always answers questions very quickly. I noticed it in the plans and that's why I asked, as you correctly guessed, it's rear ventilation.

The pear wood is in place, but that doesn't mean it's natural, I still have the option to stain it. I think you can only see it better once everything is planked. At the moment I'm waiting for my square jeweler's drawing plate 0.25mm -2.0mm to make the nail picture of said plank. Until then, I'll deal with the rear construction, which has it all. Let's see how many tries I need to get it right. Finally, I would like to say that I appreciate your opinion very much, thank you for your interest, see you soon.

Hello dear friend,
my next task was to construct the rear timbers, not a nice job I can tell you Redface.

First I determined the angle and came up with 11 degrees, then I built a support and attached it to the rear.

Make the four middle rear timbers and align everything as well as adjust the lower window sills.

The side woods held me up a bit and it took some time to make.
Finally, remove the support and examine the result. I'm not 100% satisfied and I hope that after a few corrections it will look better.
