‏‏‏Hello dear friends
I am happy to update that today I finished the work of installing the square nails in all 51 frames. This is a total of about 1400 nails.
I can't take a picture well enough to allow you to be impressed by the beautiful result.

In the last few days I tested my ability to brown the nail heads using the ballistol.
This liquid was bought with the help of our amazing friend Tobias, who sent the ballistol from Germany. Unfortunately, I am unable to reach a satisfactory result.
Don't worry, I don't give up so quickly, and I'm happy to receive any guidance (Tobias is also here to teach and guide me).I'm attaching a photos of the experiment process.

The outcome of the nails looks great, Shota. And have a nice time with the friends. Today we had a meeting of the D.B.B.S. bij Henk. Always nice to have a ‘model-chat’ for a few hours.

My Dear friends,
I am happy to inform you that the meeting of friends at my house today was simply excellent
First of all there was a varied and delicious meal that we all contributed to its quality.
Later we shared the latest developments on the models we build and new jigs.
The meeting also included a high-quality historical/evolutionary lecture on the development of ships from ancient times to modern times. The lecture was accompanied by an interactive presentation.

Good evening friends
In the last two days I continued to creating the filler parts between the frames, which are parts of different sizes and positions.
As you will see in the drawing between each frame there is a space delimited by a line whose part is more emphasized, where the non-emphasized/narrow line is the part that needs to be produced as a filling.

I measure its size and location on the side drawing and in each frame drawing. After that, I'm placing the frame on a 4.5 mm thick wooden board and creates the outline of the part based on which the part is manufactured. Later on, the part is glued in its special position.
So far I have reached the filling between ribs 14-15, with out the sanding work to create the angle.

Hi Shota,

That must have been fun again this big group meeting. Especially a diner together, pitty we couldn't see the great food you must have prepared :-).

About ballistol it is all about degreasing. Use some Acetone before and it will certainly become dark black.

It was indeed a meeting full of varied and delicious food, such as: shakshuka, hummus, falafel, pita bread, sweet bread/ challah, egg salad, tuna salad, pickled fish and more.:D
I promise you and every good friend of mine from the forum (like you) who comes to visit my country that I will be happy to host him for such a meal.

Thanks for the tutorial on the ballistol, I will implement it soon along with the helpful information our friend Tobias sent me

today after about two weeks I finished preparing and installing The filling parts between the frames, which are sometimes at the top of the space between the frames and some in the center.

Tomorrow I will return to try to blacken the nail heads according to Tobias' instructions, and later I will equip the frames with the filler pieces and the key.
The construction process is progressing lazily, as I have free time to work on the ship once every two days and that too only for two or three hours.

Thank you very much my dear friend for the words of encouragement and compliments, specially when it comes from a talented builder like you!
There is nothing to worry about the keelson , because the frames are resting without any adhesion on the keel and will indeed require more sanding and adjustments until the required precision and beauty are achieved
