Nope
Ok then.I completed lining the gunports on the lower deck, my jig batten was milled down to the correct width and I also shaved a little off the height so it would not get stuck due to being tight on all 4 sides.
I then altered the deck.I needed to use the kit bowsprit set up to build the beak but in reality the bowsprit entering the lower deck is incorrect. The foremast is in the way.I cut out a section of the deck and epoxied a new piece in containing the hole for the foremast.
I have then proceeded to cut all the deck beams for the next deck from boxwood.
These fit through housing joints I have started to cut in the hull. This is the system used by Dmitry Shevelev. It not only creates an extremely strong structure, but also allows adjustment to ensure a perfect run to these beams.
I was going to waffle on but as always, a picture is worth a thousand words.Only thing I will add is that these beams are not glued in place and only will be when all work on the deck below is finished.Any questions, please ask.
Kind Regards
Nigel
