The Anatomy of the Bounty - AL-

My new variable heigh working table.

It can go a little higher than in the picture . And as low as you can see in the picture. Use the standard table beside it for comparison.

I am very happy !!!

Happy holiday time for all SOS members !!!

Cheers
Daniel

Very good progress Daniel and the table is a great addition to your workshop.

Great addition to your workshop I found mine particularly useful while rigging.

Dear Daniel - this must be such a difficult build with all those angles creating optical effects that may either be real or just illusions. That would drive me crazy - you, however, are doing a fine job and seem to have things well under control.

Thank you Heinrich.

I have achieved a point were things start to move easier.

Doing a situational analysis, I have to say that the crucial points for this kit is the half hull assembly (with the 3 planking layers) and the hull + keel assembly. If you succeed there, then all the decks start to fit in place following the 1:1 plan drawing.

Nevertheless, it isn't an easy built at all. And still is far, far away of being successful.

Keep your fingers crossed!!!

Daniel

More done.

Added Gratings on this deck. The kit calls to leave them open. Gratings are removable. The AOB book shows gratings.

Added the bread-tree pot tables. Trying my best to be like the real ship as described on the Anatomy of the Bounty. You will see in a picture what is provided by the kit.

Enjoy !!.... Ahh, deck not yet finished, so nothing is stained or varnished yet.

Zoom for details !!

And what I did: (remember this is a 3/4 of a deck or less in width)

Fantastic details looking great. I haven't seen the bread-tree pot tables before was this common for ships of this period?.

Hi Tony

The Bounty was commissioned to transport bread tree to the West Indies.

Here you go :
