USS Constitution by Model Shipways 1:76 scale

Hi
Just a quick update, no real progress from me, not much time for ship building. I'm just playing around with some small parts I'll need later on.
Last week I thought the steps up the bowsprit looked impossible.

Can anyone guess how this was done without a milling machine?
I'll reveal all next post it ended up being quite easy and took about an hour to do.

Hello Tony!

Are you enjoying summer?!
Here it only does one thing: rain (autumn).

And yes, I also fitted the lids while planking. However, afterwards I glued the 1/32" ornament around the gunports (as described in plan 3) but afterwards it turns out that the planks are not 1/32" but rather 3/64"...and that explains why I have to trim. By the way, in the supplied manual they also confirm that the lids must be trimmed when you close the gunports....

And the bow, I found it easier than the quarter galleries.... :)

But, how did you make the steps up?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Wow, I was also thinking how to do this without sophisticated machinery....

PS
I finally purchased a Proxxon DB250 ....which will help me hopefully to produce the masts...

My WAG(wild ass guess) is that you used a square file at an angle

Summer is great but it's hard to find time in the shipyard. When I get around to it my next project is the quarter gallery's.
