Port side mizen channel and chainplates. I think my soldering is improving a little. I wasn't cleaning the surfaces enough and not putting enough flux.

no worries. they are loose. I didn't adjust them yet. lol

The phone camera that I use seems to "see things" that I don't see. I think I will start using it to scan my work as I move along in the build and fix things as they happen. For example the camera shows that the gun port on the right is a little off. I will fix it now that I know that the camera sees it as being crooked:

well starboard side mizzen and main mast chainlates are done. Using sandpaper to clean the surfaces then adding a lot of flux seems to be the solution. Oh and I keep my iron at 500 C. It works like a charm

Jack, here are the US Navy plans for the stern davits. I must assume the side davits are similar. I hope these are what you are looking for.
