VOC ship The Prins Willem (scale 1:75) Year 1651

This is an excellent discussion on carthapins and thank you @Steef66 for posting the detail of how you have rigged them.

A question, and please do not think me critical, I am merely asking - I noticed from one of your earlier posts, that the four forward, starboard shrouds have used Z laid line while the aft and port main shrouds appear to be S laid. Is that intentional? I zoomed into the photo on your post (as below), which shows this.

It can also be shown on the catharpins photo below:

No problem. I started the rigging. And I didn"t think about Z or S laid. I hardly study how, why or what. Now I know it must be Z laid after a lot of study. That one side have 2 different laids is because I did the ratlines again and these 4 ropes I had to replace. Yes I make only Z-laid rope now.
Almost perfect:) almost.....

But eventually: your ratlines are now very nisz, Stephan.

This is phenomenal work Stephan and your serving machine obviously works very well. You are setting an extremely high bar with regards to your rigging! .

Your serving machine paid you dividends, I like it very much! But... I love your mouse made using your machine!

@tutti grazie per i Mi piace ei commenti

Oggi ho finito le ratline sulle sartie anteriori e ho iniziato a realizzare il mouse e l'occhio sullo strallo. E servito il soggiorno per tutta la durata.
