Hi Dean. That look absolute great!Ok, I was dreading making the bowsprit bands with 4 ears on one and 3 on the other. But I saw how Rich made his, and I realized I didn’t have to have but one joint, instead of 3 or 4. So I made one out of some brass strip. See below…

As you can see each ear is made by folding the brass on itself, verse trying to solder them on.
I used my circle template to orient each ear at 90 degrees apart…

Then I super glued the last joint, and then drilled holes and filed the ears.

Then I glued it on the bowsprit…

Then I made the 3 ear band and added it…

Then I added the attachment eyes and lugs on the keel and bow hull…

Then I started making tiny hoops to join the turnbuckles to the ears…

Then late night became early morning…sigh! We’ve all been here…lol…to be continued!
I am happy about the scale of everything so far.
Very well done. I am glad that you found this method helpful as it can be used for many different fittings with single or multiple ears are needed. Your functional turnbuckles will serve much better than my own faux static ones. RichOk, I was dreading making the bowsprit bands with 4 ears on one and 3 on the other.
