... and in the evening, for dinner, I made a gift to my Master Chief Officer by cooking for her (my second passion after naval modeling) a nice plate of fried golden sardines !! From the photo you can see all the ingredients, so very easy to cook !!

E finalmente è arrivata! Il tizio della FedEx ha suonato al campanello dicendo che stava lasciando un pacco fuori. Per fortuna siamo in un piccolo paese e ci conosciamo tutti. Se fosse successo a Roma, nel tempo di andare fuori avrei trovato 10 di pacchi...

Comunque il pacco è integro e perfettamente imballato. All'interno, libere di girare nella scatola, ho trovato 7-8 sferette di due diversi diametri. Tutto è stretto molto bene quindi non conosco il motivo di questa libertà di farlo. Quindi chiedo aiuto a Heinrich per dare loro una... casa!

Ora la mia eccitazione è tale che il mio Master Chief Petty Office (lei è la donatrice del buono per il mio Natale) ha deciso di bere un Prosecco con dei pretzel per salutare il fantastico arrivo!

Solo 7 giorni dalla Cina a casa mia... Ottimo lavoro!

Here we are! The last frames up to 54 are done! Now sand everything and mount on the jig, hoping that everything goes well !!!

Then I will show you how I intend to proceed for the assembly of the frames on the jig (as soon as I return to my lab in the "cave" ...)

And in the end ... I finished!

All the frames (26) were completed with several kilograms of sandpaper, 5 different types of files and about 6 coffees!
4 hours a day for 2 days, assembled, sanded and filed in 8 hours! Not bad ...

Tomorrow I will be back in my lab in the "cave" and will start checking all connections to the keel.

At this point I also have to decide whether to nail the frames. What Peter did is exceptional, but I would prefer to use brass wire (0.6 mm dia) or nails of the same diameter.
Oh well, I'll think about it and make a decision.
Which could also be ... no nails!

Those frames look brilliant Piero. Come on ... as you fast as you work, nails/brass wire will look fantastic!

Thanks Peter! For customs I don't care about "dowsing rods". The Swiss Border Guards only check if you have too much meat or too much wine in your car because thousands of Italian Swiss (as you know, three different languages are spoken in Switzerland ...) cross the border every day for food purchases. When you pay 1/3 everything from here ... you know how it is!

As mentioned in post #70, I am back in my Swiss lab and this is how I made the assembly of the frames in the jig.

I took up what was left of the jig waste and with the sander I eliminated the positive teeth bringing the entire edge to level.



Then I put the piece back in the jig and started assembling the frames.



Quite quickly I mounted all 55s and put the keel on top of them all just to see the references for the subsequent gluing.



It seems to me that the Cathedral effect is not bad ...

You have a very good-looking cathedral, Piero! I really like the idea of using the cut-out to create what is in effect a double floor to secure the planks going into the jig even further. If you have done that and if the keel notches then fit properly into those of the frames (frames butting up to the rabbet), then I can't see any reason for not making that marriage permanent!
