The following is the original words of the developer. I suggest you go to YOU TUBE to see the CNC and laser cut video.

laser cutting is 10 times faster for cutting and in production time is money. CNC does not cut clean inside 90 degree corners, when setting up parts on a sheet they can be as close as .030 thousandths with a laser CNC hogs out a lot of material way more than the a laser beam. which is only .006 to .012
a CNC cutter has to be kept razor sharp or it will cut a ragged edge against the grain or on softer woods, a laser cuts clean regardless of the grain.

with just a few kits it does not matter but in a production setting the wasted material adds up because you are getting less parts per sheet thus you need more sheets. you can laser cut 10 kits in the time it takes to CNC cut 1 kit and again in a production setting it cost more in time for CNC cutting and that extra time also adds up
 
looking at the two cuts CNC and laser the CNC looks like it is chewing through the wood and not cutting all the way through. You are looking so close to the laser cut sheet you can see the sanding marks from 80 grit paper and the laser cut is very sharp and clean and you can cut 3/4 of an inch thick material in one pass.

This is the reason kit companies do not use a CNC cutter it is just not practical

Laser cutting and CNC are two very good processing methods, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. The designer chooses the appropriate processing method according to his own design. CNC machining different parts uses 4 different tools to achieve the design. The effect, any cutting parts need to be polished.
Laser cutting and CNC difference
1.CNC only needs to be polished and leveled, laser cutting, in the case of smoothing, it is also necessary to consider the difference of carbon black removal.
2.The CNC's incision can be guaranteed to be basically vertical. The laser-cutting incision has a certain inclination. The laser-cutting and splicing like the standard splicing method may require the producer to be very high.
3.Like the main beam, the notch on the short beam, Laser cutting is difficult to achieve.
4.The designers of HMS Alert kits do not intend to mass-produce the set, but only small batch production. There are only a few products sold in China.

Many people have been waiting in the developer's QQ group. I don't know how many of the kits sold in May will be left in EBAY.

On the other hand, the berth can be installed in reverse to facilitate the hull grinding.
