HMS ALERT 1777 cutter POF by shota70 [COMPLETED BUILD]

good evening dear friends
I am happy to announce that there is a new guy on board our ship - our marine carpenter is ready to work on board the ship.

I admit that I love our carpenter and I really enjoyed the process, I did feel like I was creating a figure out of a block of marble/boxwood.
For those who want to see the process, please visit the following link
for curiosity's sake I will attach few pictures.

I wish all of us a good and blessed week and in the coming days we will meet again here from the Alert

Excellent work my friend! Our carpenter looks like he is right at home on the Alert and is happy to work on such a beautiful ship!
Hi Shota,

Very nice, your carving work is taking a great leap forward.
Hello Shota my friend I am delighted with your little carpenter.

Can I commission one from you ROTF
My dear friends
thank you very much for your support and accompaniments :)

Hi Shota. I had not visited your build for a while, but there is a lot passing by. The trennels are much better: the smaller the better. And I love you little man. Not someone who is looking over your shoulder but directly on your hands, what you do in and on his ship.:)
Regard, Peter

good evening dear friends
Tonight I returned to the ship, when this time our friend works on board.

First I renewed markings of the future cutting of the frames at the top of the deck, as they were slightly erased.
Later I wanted to start working on the tafrail as shown on page 31 of the instruction booklet and in drawings 6.23, 6.24, 6.25. In addition.

I used posts 177#-178# in the construction diary of our friend Maarten.

However, when I went to look for part 104 in the booklet I found a drawing on page 48 of the booklet.

Following my bed of wooden boards that I'm not sure which one is intended for creating fl104, I did find 105cl.

Dear friends, I would appreciate your help in pointing out the parts in the wood weathering (33) I need to use to create fl104 and how to design them correctly (iris-rounded?).
Thank you

Hi Shota,

The four lower parts form 104, you just glue 2 of them together to get the proper thicknes. I gave them after glueing a profile.
You just need two, the other two are spare if you break them.

BTW you know you put a Frog (Frenchman) on the ship of the Lobsters (Englishman), I guess he will be in danger now :-)

Dear Maarten
First, thanks for the help and guidance. Another question please, should I glue the two parts on top of each other with full overlap or staggered?
Also, should they be bent after their adhesion dries, how and in what shape.
I would appreciate it if you could be as specific as possible, so that I can avoid mistakes :)

Hi Shota,

You bent them before glueing, they will fit in the space in the stern template CL 50. They will be glued slightly offset following the angle of the stern transome.

Good morning Shota. Stunning. That wooden figurine looks incredibly pleased with what he is viewing. Cheers Grant

@GrantTyler I can only agree with you. The carpenter has the same broad and sympathetic smile as his artist, how I know, I had the pleasure of meeting Shota this year.
