HMS Victory by Y.T.- Mamoli - 1:90 scale

I found a boat builder that hand built a full size skylight, so it may give you some guidance on building one at your scale.
In William Fredrick's Scale journey book, he has a drawing of a deck house that could be adapted to make a skylight.

Hi all, I understood I need straight firm wood sheets for building my skylight at 1:90 scale. I had not pleasant experience with buying 0.75 mm mahogany sheet. It was not straight (curved) and not firm. I still have it but it is not usable for my modelling. Can you please advise what wood type I need and where to get it from? My understanding is this wood sheet should be about 0.5 mm thickness and absolutely flat and firm so I can use jewellers jig saw working on very small size pieces (as 17mm x 8 mm)

Can it be 1 mm thick ?

I just got very nice and perfectly flat 1 mm x 60mm x500 mm Pear and black Walnut wood from ZHL MODEL .

Just discovered your log for your amazing Victory. Apologies for filling your in-box with so many likes. Such excellent work, as so many have said.
Your first planking is beyond perfect. I'm still also needing wood filler at that stage :) - This ship is beyond my skill set, but so enjoy following builders, such as yourself, who can do this ship the justice it requires. Again AWESOME work!! It has been a wonderful two hours going through your work and comments...

PS: Thanks for the Lica idea - found the same ones on eBay will try those for my current build's many stern and gallery windows.
Also Victory scale model parts - great link as well - will adapt some of their bits.

Regards,
