Hohenzollernmodell 1660-1670 Scale 1/75 POF build by Stephan Kertész (Steef66)

@dockattner good for your healt to take everyday a joy capsule

But there is also the opposite of joy and that is sanding till you loose weight. And people who seen me would say: "keep sanding" :)

The wing Transom need a big correction. Maybe I make a new one.
So still a lot of work to do

Don't look to the angle of the picture, like everything I do it without stand on the camara

Those angles make me crazy.

edit: the red dots on the transom (second picture) are indeed blood. :(

Maybe Stephan is also the son of an English teacher :)
No he was a tamer of bulls

not joking, in Hungary
Naamloos.jpg
Not him in the picture, but these kind of bulls he trained.

So the model is baptized with blood
As we say in Dutch "Bloed moet, pijn is fijn" (blood is necessary, pain is nice ; it really sounds better in Dutch ).
I just seen Ken his fingers, just don't let us talk any more about the pain and blood of me. ROTF not worthy of appointment any more.

This is just incredible to me that you can take an idea - do your plans - do CAD - and go from there. That must take a lot of experience and know-how. It is beyond me.
Hi Donnie, thank you for the compliment. It is nice to see you around here. If it is experience and know-how? I don't know. I'm not that experience, just a lot of patience and some skills to be a quick learner.

Repairs are easy to do, adding wood is almost invisible. Only with macro foto's to see.
first repair on the wing transom, I added a piece of wood to fill the gap.

In the first photo you can see that the stern post also need a little extra wood on the top. Just a mm. to make it even with the transom. That's the next step.

More pictures of the already parts

IMG_3282.JPGIMG_3283.JPGIMG_3285.JPG

There also need some gaps to be filled

IMG_3284.JPG

You can also see I make some relief on the wing transom, I did this by hand with these tools

IMG_3287.JPG

Looking good to the Transom, they need a little sanding to fit to eachother

IMG_3286.JPG

There is also a little worry about the wing transom. It could be to a little more to the back, because the back will be planked and I don't want it to fall back of these planks. So still a lot of work to do.

Hi Stephan. That is a complex structure you have made. And that you have to make ‘some adjustments’ is part of the game of scratch building. But I am sure you love this way of building. It’s time consuming, but It gives so much fulfillment.
Regards, Peter

Thanks Peter. Fulfillment is the right word.

At the moment I have to go a little easy with my left hand. A time ago I mentioning that there was something wrong with my left ring finger. Today I was in the hospital and it seems I got a trigger finger (old people problems). I got an injection into the hand to heal the infection. So in a few days it must be okay. Lucky not a big issue. So I must try not to do to much....... Sanding was no problem, but washing the dishes was pain full :cool:ROTF

Very nice fix on the wing transom Stephan. Such fixes are made easier with Corradi files I recognize in your tool set.

Keen eyes Ken :p And yes, they are fantastic. But keep them clean and treat them with Japanese Camelia oil. glue and other stuff could destroy them. These are zeef2 files and I'm looking for zeef 0 to order for the rough work.

Get well soon and feel better!

@Tobias @Herman @dockattner @Jimsky @shota70 Thanks for the nice words. And of course all the others for the visit and the likes.

My finger is very well at the moment, little stiff but no pain any more.

Today I did a RE-DO on the wing transom. The measurements where to wrong to get it in the right place. So I make a new one with just 2 mm. in width more.
Also I cut out the stern timber. Everything you see is dry fit.

IMG_3291.JPGIMG_3292.JPGIMG_3293.JPG

It is nice to see how big the shape of the stern and to see how big the model will be.
