L´Amarante 1:36 POF

Thanks guys for all the likes and comments.
In reality, it doesn't look as simple as in the photos. One example for all. I was trying to glue the second strip under the wale. I chose the thickness of the plank in accordance with the drawings a little weaker than wale. After gluing this planks (on both sides of course) the result was absolutely terrible. Due to the curvature of the ribs at the place where the planks were glued, both planks almost buckled in height in some places. So I decided to remove the planks, make new ones significantly weaker and now I'm gluing them again. I hope it's the last time. And then I have lower wales (again with scarph joint) waiting for me, which will be another treat.
What wood do you use Vladimir? I had the same problem with ebony, a new attempt with black hornbeam worked perfectly.

Finished installing wales. I am quite satisfied :).
Before I continue, I have one dilemma left to resolve. In the previous model (Le Gros Ventre) I omitted the nailing of the wales. The reason that led me to this was that above the waterline metal nails were used - so more or less black, and since I used black wood to simulate metal nails, the wales nailing lost its meaning, because the pins would not be visible. Here the situation is somewhat different, the brass pins would be visible on the black wood, but it seems a bit illogical to me. I would like to know what your opinion is about the possible omission of pins on wales (or on black wood in general).

Hello Vladimir, I have attached the nails. You are of course right that they are actually iron nails and they are black. The brass shines at first, but as long as it is not protected with varnish, it will soon age naturally and they will no longer shine, but will still be clearly visible. I personally like it, but it is definitely a matter of taste.

Very good work
if you wood make the bolts -> would you make them in wood or out of metal?
Maybe it a possibility, that you use copper nails or wire for the bolts at the wales - they are darkening with the time by themselves

Thank you guys ;).
I'm continuing with planking, it's going very slowly - so far I have about two-fifths of the hull done, including nailing. And although I was as careful as possible when manipulating the hull, I managed to break off part of the stem. Fortunately, it is only in the glued joint, so the repair will not be difficult.
