LE ROCHEFORT - Harbour yacht from 1787 1:36 by Tobias (Monograph by ANCRE)

Hmm...Ummm... Trying to understand if, In the German language, the words have more meaning than in any other language :p Did you guys switch to German, to make our life difficult by using a translator?

Sorry Jim, my mistake, as soon as I accidentally write something in German, the page will continue in German. I have done the translation and I hope it will be fully displayed in English again.

Hi everyone,

I've been busy with La Palme for the past few weeks and Le Rochefort has had to wait a bit. After the last pictures and posts were more description and reports here are some pictures of the progress. Frames 10-24 have been fitted, 25 and 26 are in the works. Spant 1 and 27 are finished and cannot be seen on the pictures at the moment. A total of 19 frames, more than half are already done. In the next week or two I hope to get all the frames ready.

Those frames are looking very nice, Tobias. The first picture shows her nice curves.
Regards, Peter

Today we were in the Czech Republic for a little visit with friends and I'm a bit behind schedule because of that. Well I had at least the afternoon and the evening. Yesterday I cut out frame 28-32 and today it was time for milling, gluing and sanding. Frame 28 and 29 are ready and set up, the rest of the day will come tomorrow.

The next steps will be to set up the formers and then mark the keys. Then the nails will be marked and hammered in, I will use the square bolts again.

Hello everyone.

As already mentioned, everything has to be aligned and the keelson has to be fitted, for this I have removed all frames.

I started in the middle at frame 15 and worked towards the bow to frame 1, then the same towards the stern.

Frame by frame is marked with a pencil and, if necessary, milled again.

I also make sure to align everything at a 90 degree angle and put small spacers and support everything with rubber bands.

When everything is in place, I take a 2x2mm strip and mark the position of the keys.

Yes, that's it for now, now everything is out of the jig again and now comes the drilling and nailing of the brass bolts.
