Bob,
I personally do not think you have any "love lost" when you sold it. This kit is good only in the fact that it has a lot of laser cut parts for you. BUT, it negates this in the fact that a lot of the parts do not fit well or needing a lot of TLC to make it all fit right. I am putting in a whole lot of extra time in this thing trying to make something out of it. If someone where to build this thing "as is" with no consideration of fitment, there is no telling what this ship would look like. (I mean, probably horrible).
When I first popped the lid on the box, I was really amazed. But that amazement has worn off.

I think there is a china version of this kit that is slightly larger in size and is far better. The ply wood is probably THE most strange. The ply parts are separated by a thin sheet of paper. No kidding.
If someone can build this, they can probably build almost anything thrown at them. The plans are good with a lot of 3D drawings.
One MAJOR flaw of this ship that I was able to catch before building it was the height of the Cannon Port Lids vs. The height of the Cannon Barrels. In other words, if you built the frame and bulwarks just like they say do, then you will have to wind up REMOVING the wheels on the carriages (which lowers the Barrels overall) so that they will protrude at center of the port lids. I was able to prevent this from happening by doing a lot of research and reading about a lot of unhappy modelers that found this out when it was time to install the Cannons/Carriages on deck. The center line of the Barrels where NO where near the center of Ports. Obviously no one wants to do this, so most folks have to build their own carriages (shorter in height) to make the Cannons be center. If I remember, the offset was like 3mm off. It is enough (at that scale) to not work. it is interesting that even in the manual, the builder has the Cannons pointing downward as the ports are mounted way to low on the deck.
If you look at these post, you will see what I mean as how I did the work around.
