Carronade update

The carronade construction continues with nine units now ready for final placement after some small adjustments. Then seven more to go, plus two 12 pounder stern chaser cannon. My intention is to get them rigged before securing the many deck fittings, which I have already constructed and bagged.

So a couple of photos. Thanks for following along and for your valuable time and interest.

Those guns will look super when fully rigged and the rest of hardware installed on deck.

I love the nice clean look of the ship.

Good morning Kurt, thanks for your supportive comments. I am working away on the remaining carronades and then the relevant rigging starts. I’m just itching to get all those deck fittings in place. But first the completion of the armament and that deck will need a finish before the clutter gets added :).

Good morning Roger. Brilliant!!! What they all said… I am in complete agreement with you to rig all these prior to deck fittings. Makes it sooo much easier, if cannon rigging can be made any easier. Kudos. Cheers Grant

Thanks Grant, I’ll be happy if they turn out as good as your rigged canon. I have the carronade rope sitting on my bench at the moment. Hopefully I can test my patience and make a start soon.

Good morning Roger. Yep with all those carronades your patience will be tested. With your skill set I see some stunning rigging coming up. Cheers Grant
